Glow-Up Devotional Day 14

Scripture:

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

The Glow-Up Message:

Sis… this grind culture almost had us thinking exhaustion was a badge of honor.
Like burnout was a prerequisite for blessings.

But let’s be clear: God is not impressed by your hustle.
He’s not sitting in Heaven handing out crowns for overworking.
He’s looking for women who are willing to trust His grace more than their grind.

There is nothing cute about being overwhelmed, sleep-deprived, and spiritually empty while trying to “build something for God.”

That’s not faith.
That’s self-reliance.

And here’s the thing — God wants you to win.
But He wants you to do it from a place of rest, rhythm, and relationship.
Because the real glow-up? Is sustainable. Peaceful. Covered.

His power flows best when you’re not trying to be perfect.
His grace fills the gap — but only when you stop pretending you don’t need it.

You don’t need more caffeine.
You don’t need another late night.
You don’t need to “push through.”

You need to pause.
Pray.
And let Him carry you.

The Glow-Up Assignment

Today, choose ONE thing to pause:

Delay a task
Cancel a non-essential to-do
Block out time to do nothing but sit with God

Then write this on a sticky note or in your planner:
“Grace is enough. I don’t have to earn what God already gave.”

Reflection Question:

What have you been forcing that God never told you to carry by yourself?

Prayer of the Day:

God, I release the pressure to do it all on my own.
I’ve been trying to build without breaks, and it’s breaking me.
Help me to trust that Your grace is enough — not just to forgive me, but to fuel me.
Remind me that rest is holy, and so am I.
Today, I choose grace. I choose trust. I choose to let You lead.
